An ecological and environmentally friendly, harmonious resort built on the banks of the Ing-Oya river. This is a sustainable developmental project encompassing the objectives of eco-tourism. It is designed around an hydroelectric generating system using the water resources of the Ing-Oya river to generate electricity to power the entire resort complex. This River Resort is located at the Watawela mountain Range,

which is 6.5 km from  the Kitulgala town. This natural setting has visitors remarking that “ it is the most beautiful setting of a hotel complex they have seen in Sri Lanka.
This area is famous for its hiking trails, nature paths and the vast collection of endemic birds, such as the Grey Hornbill, the Yellow Fronted Barbet and the Scarlet Minivit, no less its virgin flora.

The many hiking trails take one through rain forest areas, tea and rubber estates, cascading waterfalls, especially the Edurella falls. For the cyclist, there is a challenging pedal climb of 6.5 km. A natural swimming pool designed on the base of a natural granite rock has been created alongside the residential rooms.Swimming here in this pool by day and night is a sheer joyous, exhilarating experience; It is tantalizing to feel that one is swimming in pure drinking water, not in a chemicalized, artificial swimming pool. The swimming pool renews its entire waters naturally every five hours.

The altitude here is about 1100 meters above see level where the mist sets in at sunset. The fireplaces in the residential rooms make one enjoy the cosy evenings...
